Nick is 29 and was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire.He grew up in Portugal, Qatar and Mauritius.
Nick has been coached by Andrew Nicholson, the Director of Instruction at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at Wynyard Hall Golf Club, since he was 8 years old.
His highest WAGR ranking was 14 (Nov 2014).
In 2023: A full season on Clutch Pro Tour with a few Challenge Tours events. A win on Clutch at
Farnham and finshed 11th on the order of merit.
In 2022: Nick played a full season on the EuroPro Tour making the cut in all 15 events played and finishing 10th on the order of merit. He also played a full schedule on 2020 Pro Tour and won their order of merit. The highlight of the year would be shooting a career best 59 in Portugal at the Quinta Laranjal course playing a Golfing Days Pro-Am.
In 2021: Nick played a full season on the EuroPro Tour and finished 53rd on the order of merit keeping his card for 2022. He also played on the 2020 Pro Tour and finished 3rd in their order of merit.
In 2020: Nick played when pandemic restrictions allowed and finished 3rd on the order of merit at the newly formed 2020 Pro Tour
In 2019: A return to the winners circle in Oman on the Mena Tour saw Nick finish 6th overall on their order of merit and a full schedule played on the EuroPro Tour.
In 2018: An Interesting and educational year but not the year Nick had hoped for after struggling with some swing changes so a return to Europro Tour with some Challenge Tour starts for 2019. The start of 2019 will see Nick play 4 events on the Mena Tour in the Middle East.
In 2017: A successful season on the PGA EuroPro Tour, the highlight being a win at Longhirst Hall in the Dawson & Sanderson Classic. Second place at Montrose and a total of 7 top ten finishes meant a 4th place overall on the Order of Merit & promotion to the European Challenge Tour for the 2018 season. Other highlights include a 1st place on the TP tour at Mere & a course record 64 at Huddersfield in the 1836 Tour.
In 2016 : Nick completed his first full year as a professional. The highlight was a 16th place finish at Trophy Hassan ll on the European Tour after gaining a last minute invite. A win on the Gecko Pro Tour, a win at 1st Stage EuroPro Tour qualifying and 2 wins on 1836 Tour.
In 2015: Nick represented the winning England team in the International against Spain, won the European Nations Cup in Sotogrande and was named in the GB&I Walker Cup Squad. He represented England on a 4 week trip Australia and was the Medallist in the Australian Amateur.
In 2014: Nick represented GB&I in the St. Andrews Trophy in Sweden where they beat Europe. He played for the winning England team in the bi-annual England v France match and was again capped at the Men's Home Internationals in Wales. The highlight of the year was being crowned English Amateur Champion. He was also Midland Open Amateur Champion, Scottish Open Youths Champion (U21) and Runner-up in both the Scottish Open Strokeplay Championships and the Portuguese Amateur Championships where he lost a playoff. Nick ended the year England's highest ranked WAGR player and handicap +5.
In 2013: Nick was a Quarter Finalist in the British Amateur and reached the last 16 of the English Amateur. Nick achieved his first full International cap representing a victorious England at the Men's Home Internationals at Ganton. He won the Hawksworth Trophy and was runner-up in both the Welsh Youths and the North of England Youths where he shot his lowest 36 hole score in competition (64,63). He finished the season ranked #9 on the Titleist/Footjoy England men's order of merit..
In 2012 he was:
Yorkshire Boys Amateur Champion ; Welsh Open Youths Champion; Canadian International Junior Challenge-individual Medalist; Gecko Pro Tour Winner- Almenara Golf Club, Spain; Gecko Pro tour Winner- La Reserva Golf Club, Spain. First Amateur to win a professional Gecko Tour event and first with back to back wins. Ranked #1 in Boys Golf in April & May.
He is an Honorary member at Huddersfield Golf Club.
